Hold the phone close enough for a clean mic and you cannot read the script. Hold it where you can read, and your voice crosses an arm's length of open room before it arrives, bouncing off the desk, the wall behind the camera, the ceiling. The mic records your voice plus every reflection. That smear is what makes a home take sound like a home take.
Turning down noise does not fix it. A denoiser knocks out the fan and the hum and leaves the reverb sitting on top of your voice. Takewell removes both, the noise and the room, on the phone, on every take.
