Privacy Policy

1. About This Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how SRS Tech ("we", "our", or "us") handles information when you use PixelPlay, an iOS application developed and published by SRS Tech.

By downloading or using PixelPlay, you agree to the collection and use of information described in this policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. What PixelPlay Does — and Does Not — Do

PixelPlay is a personal media player. It plays video streams from sources you provide (M3U playlists, Xtream Codes portals, or the optional free public catalog from iptv-org).

• We do not host, provide, or pre-load any video content.
• We do not know what you watch.
• We do not share your data with advertisers.
• We do not sell any personal information.

3. Information We Collect

If you use the app without signing in (Guest mode):

• Anonymous usage events via Firebase Analytics (e.g. "app launched", "channel played"). No personally identifiable information is attached. Firebase Analytics also derives a coarse, city-level location from your IP address for aggregate reporting; we don't link this to your identity.
• Crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix bugs. These include device model, iOS version, and a stack trace. They don't include any user identity.
• App preferences and your watch history stay locally on your device only; we never upload them.
• We sync your favorites to our cloud backend using an anonymous device identifier. This requires no account and lets your favorites carry over automatically if you sign in later. Locked channels and categories stay on your device until you sign in.

If you sign in (optional):

• Your email address and display name from Google or Apple Sign-In, stored in Firebase Authentication to identify your account.
• This enables account management features such as deleting your account and its data, and it automatically syncs your favorites and locked channels/categories across every device signed in to the same account. We store this in Firebase and/or your private iCloud account (Apple CloudKit), depending on your setup.

Xtream / M3U source credentials (if you add them):

• Your Xtream portal URL and username are stored locally on your device in the app's database.
• Your Xtream password is stored in your device's secure Keychain — never in plain text, never uploaded to our servers.

4. How We Use Your Information

• Analytics: To understand how the app is used in aggregate and improve features.
• Crash reporting: To identify and fix stability issues.
• Account management: To identify your account so you can delete your data on request.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose not listed above.

5. Third-Party Services

PixelPlay uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policy:

• Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics (Google) — firebase.google.com/support/privacy
• Google Sign-In — policies.google.com/privacy
• Apple Sign-In — apple.com/legal/privacy
• Apple iCloud (CloudKit) — when you're signed in, used to sync your favorites and locked channels/categories to your own private iCloud account. Governed by apple.com/legal/privacy
• iptv-org public catalog (optional, user opt-in) — open-source channel metadata. We do not share your data with iptv-org.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Local data (preferences, watch history, source credentials) stays only on your device. Removing the app deletes it, and so does Settings → Clear History & Favorites.

Favorites: we sync these to our cloud backend, using an anonymous device identifier in Guest mode or your account if you sign in. They stay in Firebase and/or your private iCloud account until you delete them or use Settings → Delete Account (available in both Guest mode and when signed in).

Account data (if you're signed in) stays in Firebase and/or your private iCloud account until you delete your account. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account inside the app; this permanently removes your account data from Firebase and your private iCloud database.

Analytics and crash data: Firebase retains this according to its own policies (about 2 months for Analytics, 90 days for Crashlytics).

7. Children's Privacy

PixelPlay isn't for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child gave us personal information, contact us so we can delete it.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at admin@srstech.in. You can also delete your account directly in-app from Settings → Delete Account.

9. Security

The iOS Keychain stores Xtream credentials with hardware-backed encryption. Firebase services use industry-standard TLS encryption for data in transit. No transmission method is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of PixelPlay after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
